online libraries
I have found two online libraries. At classicreader.com you can actually add your own annotations to the things you read. At http://bartleby.com you can find reference books as well as fiction and non-fiction, and you can download books. surlalunefairytales.com is also fun, with already annotated stories. Check them out, and enjoy!

Battle of the Midnight Star

I am also using this space to advertise my own writing. So here's a little bit about my book:
…All turned to watch this light, even the dragon. From it shot two glorious beams, one connecting with the Silver Sorceress. The other reached out and zapped the Purple Star just before the pawing Shattadelle could reach it. … The Silver Sorceress reached out her hand in the direction of the star, and a beam shot out between them, making the final connection… The Shadow Dragon was outraged by this light force. He threw back his head and screamed … The others covered their ears and huddled in fear together underneath the black shadow the dragon cast. The Great Nightmare’s eyes glowed red as it shot fire into the triangle…

Book Club

I have had such a hard time planning this month's book club that I decided to create a blog so that even if those interested aren't able to come to the meeting, they can still participate, and tell us what they think of the book. This month's book is Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. If you care to comment on any of the other books in the series, that's cool, too. (I'm in the middle of #3 right now).
I think I will settle on having the meeting on October 25th at 2pm. Place to be announced soon. Some of the topics of discussion I have come up with are as follows:
Why can't Edward read Bella's thoughts?
What is the significance of the title Twilight?
What are your thoughts on Edward's physical description, especially his dual nature as angel and demon (vampire)?
The author claims that it is a matter of perspective that accounts for the different reactions to Bella by boys from Phoenix and from Forks. What is your perspective on this issue? (This is the question that interests me the most at the moment)
The author also claims that she uses free agency as a theme in her writing. What evidences of this did you find in this story?
Why is Alice so happy about Edward and Bella's relationship?
Please feel free to give your oppinion on any of these subjects, or others you may have thought of. Looking forward to your responses!
